Gleaning is recovering local farm-fresh food from fields/orchards, wash/pack houses, on-farm storage facilities, farmers markets, and through direct donations from producers. Our Healthy Roots Gleaning Program focuses on Franklin & Grand Isle County. We are a member of the Vermont Gleaning Collective, a network of professionally organized, community-based gleaning programs from around Vermont.
